When You Feel Forgotten: Trusting God in the Waiting Season
Share
Have you ever whispered, “God, did You forget about me?”
That quiet ache of wondering if He still sees you, still hears your prayers, still has something good planned for your life?
If you're in a waiting season—whether for healing, direction, breakthrough, or just a sense of purpose—you are not alone. This blog is for the woman who feels like heaven has gone quiet.
You’re Not Forgotten. You’re Being Formed.
There’s something sacred about the waiting room of life. It’s where God does some of His deepest work.
In Psalm 13:1–2, David cries out:
“How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?”
This isn’t a lack of faith—it’s the raw, real voice of someone holding onto hope while heaven feels silent. And yet, just a few verses later, David lands on:
“But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.” (Psalm 13:5)
Faith doesn’t mean pretending the wait doesn’t hurt. It means choosing to trust God anyway.
Hidden ≠ Forgotten
Think of Joseph—betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, falsely accused, forgotten in prison. But scripture says:
“The Lord was with Joseph…” (Genesis 39:2)
Even when it didn’t look like it. Even when no one else saw. God was still writing his story.
You may feel invisible, but God is intentional with your life. Every unseen moment matters.
God Wastes Nothing
That desire in your heart? That ache for more? It wasn’t planted by accident.
God isn’t punishing you with delay—He’s preparing you with purpose.
“He has made everything beautiful in its time.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
Your waiting is not wasted. God is shaping something beautiful behind the scenes, even when you can’t see it yet.
Keep Showing Up
In the quiet seasons, it’s tempting to pull back. But what if you just kept showing up? Kept worshipping? Kept praying, serving, believing?
What if this isn’t the end of your story—but the middle of your miracle?
What to Do in the Waiting:
-
Pray honestly – Tell God how you really feel. He can handle it.
-
Anchor in scripture – Even when emotions rise, truth remains.
-
Stay planted – Don’t uproot yourself from the places God has asked you to grow.
-
Encourage someone else – Sometimes helping someone else in their wait gives you strength in yours.
A Final Word for You
God hasn’t forgotten you, friend. Your name is etched on the palms of His hands (Isaiah 49:16).
He is still working. Still weaving. Still writing something beautiful from your story.
Don’t give up in the waiting.
